1-wire iButton check for presence?

I have got a few 1-wire buscheck kits (essentially iButtons) from this place: https://shop.thomasheldt.de/product_info.php?info=p49_1-wire-bus-check-ii-kit.html

I am planning to use them to detect the "removal" of this device. So any time the thing is disappearing according to Loxone, there's a problem with the 1-wire bus.

My question is, how often do iButtons send their "presence"? How does Loxone detect the removal of such device? Does it do polling in regular intervals?
