Hello all,

Does anyone succeed in DoorBird video door station integration ?
It seams that the video is not a problem but the audio looks rather "different"...

Thanks for your feedback.

The 'normal' version of DoorBird won't integrate with Loxone because the SIP module is not enabled. It does have a SIP module but DoorBird will only license/enable it for technology partners.
I have contacted DoorBird to become a reseller of a 'DoorBird for Loxone' version (+ Snom phones as desktop indoor stations).
I'll report back here about our progress.

Thanks for this information.

I wonder whenever it'll be positive to contact DoorBird and "push" some more ...

We all should.  I'm going to email them now.  Looks like some nice hardware.  I like the fact that it works with the august lock.

Ok, had some conversations with DoorBird. We will be a reseller and likely get an agreement to be allowed to sell SIP enabled verisons, which we order in larger quantities, for integration with Loxone and VoIP phones.
Waiting for their confirmation and details before ordering some products for testing.

I keep surveying what's out there until we get to the point where we need to buy one.  So far the one I like is the

LINKCOM Link IP iDP Cam v2.  SIP audio+video, 1 to 4 buttons, relays, web management, POE.  But never thot it would integrate well with Loxone, that would be a plus.

Could't wait and ordered a few anyway.
Video is good. 180 wide angle lens.
jpeg for integration with Loxone. RTSP for NVRs.
Easy to set up a URL trigger for motion or doorbell events
Audio quality on the device's speaker is much less than the Loxone intercom but acceptable.
Audio from the device to the app is worse: you have to speak pretty close to the DoorBird's microphone.
It works, also after switching between local Wifi and LTE networks.

If you want one to test for yourself and don't have a (non-expired) coupon, let me know and I'll give you a discount.

Which models do you have at 20 % ?

Btw, were you able to get the Sip module for doorbird as a partner?

Thanks!

Carles,

We checked today with a few of our Loxone customers who showed interest before, and there seems to be sufficient interest to purchase. We decided to only offer DoorBird products at a discount to customers that purchase Loxone products from us.

Is there any update on the DoorBird integration with Loxone? Did you obtain the SIP license?
About the motion sensor? Can this be integrated with Loxone (HTTP trigger)? Is the sensitivity/range configurable?

Yes, I managed to get SIP audio working from the Loxone client. SIP can be used without requiring any license, however, it is not documented/supported and not easy to set up.

I had to stop testing to work on other priorities, but I will soon test and resolve some issues, and document everything, however for our clients only.

Our Loxone customers get a large discount, visible when logged in with their account to our webshop, and support for setting it up with Loxone.

And is it working reliably?

Yes, it was working well. DoorBird is changing it's firmware and app settings for SIP so we'll have to re-test if everything still works for usage with Loxone.
We will do that with our Loxone clients in 2 weeks.

Tested today and works well, also from the WAN via iptel.org registration.
Configuration is a little more difficult than Loxone intercom due to DoorBird's security features to restrict access to specific users.
We'll support any of our Loxone + DoorBird customers to make it work in their infrastructure. Keep in mind that SIP is not for the faint-hearted.

cheers

Doorbird is a good product for integrating to smart homes. It has it's own app and video voice links which work well with no holes in the fire wall.
Not sure why you would want to make this flow through Loxone - although possible.
If you want to trigger Loxone on bell push, motion detection etc it has a good api and you can subscribe to events to send virtual commands to Loxone or any other system.

Having researched options and opted for Doorbird I am impressed with its quality and integration capability.
Cheers Daivd

The document only gives you the configuration for access from the LAN. It also works when you register you DoorBird with a SIP server like iptel.org for more reliable access from a remote network.
With the current firmware, when registered to a SIP server, you have to use the SIP server for both internal and external access.

We currently have an overstock of DoorBird D101S and D202.
You can purchase them from our webshop with a discount of 10% until June 25th by using the coupon code SBTDOORBIRD

I'm connecting Doorbird via POE which is just the 4 wires (orange, orange/white, green, green/white) but notice it has other cables to trigger a chime.

I'm presuming I don't need the other cables as Loxone will pick it up on the orange/greens via a virtual input which you can then pass to whatever you like e.g. the ceiling speakers.

Is this correct? or do I need the other cables to go into a digital input?

thanks.

you are right - you only need the 4 cables for network/poe with virtual inputs on loxone signalling a doorbell press and  motion sensor trigger (i use that to turn on outside lights)

I have checked my downloads and I had the PDF document saved for more quiet times  :-)

I've pulled it from the door bird website a while ago, just never got to actually deploying this.

Thank you very much, MartinB.  That's the document I remembered.   I looked at it some months ago, but did not download it at that time.
In the meantime, I used my sunday afternoon to hardwire the blue "doorbell" wires, directly to a Loxone digital input (I had 2 spare wires in the Cat7 cable which runs from the cabinet to the Doorbird... that digital input allows me to trigger some action in Loxone when someone presses the bell.   I made some selected lights  in the house flashing a few time as a visual indicator of a door ring.   In the past, I had too many occasions where the Doorbird App on my cell phone did not "whistle" or whistled a few minutes later (in some cases my own fault, as the volume was accidently turned all the way down).  With the flashing lights, I should not miss visitors anymore.

I'm thinking of ordering a few 24v buzzers to spread around the house (garage, upstairs, kitchen, hall).  But the ones I have seen are all quite loud (like 90+ dB), which is probably too much for use indoors.   Would anyone have a 24v buzzer they can recommend ?

Thanks,
Leo

Helloo,

Can somebody help me!! A lot of people said that works, but could anybody show it! I can't from WAN to make de Audio works, and I don't know why. I tried a lot of configuration, even I have an ansip.com account, but I can't make the audio works from outside of my LAN.

Thanks

Hello

I have managed to get the Loxone to Doorbird integration sorted using the walkthrough, but it works (as you have noted here) for LAN only.
Have solved the remote Audio using Iptel.
But have no idea how to get the remote video working.
Would rather have full doorbird capability through the loxone app than have to rely on the Doorbird AND Loxone App.
Can anyone help?

Many thanks

Did you try port forwarding for remote video capabilities?

just port forward the port 80 to the doorbird IP with a dns service I am using dyndns, that is the only issue there is no way to change doorbird port but doing that you will be able to see it from outside the lan.

Daniel

Thankyou for your reply. You make it sound do simple. Im ok with port forwarding but would not have a clue about setting up a dns service..
do you have to link your home router to that Dns?
And what would you enter into the 'URL video stream (external)' field in loxone config?

daniel lopez

Ok so what the dns service does it translate your public IP to a name because the public IPs are constantly changing (unless you pay for a fixed public ip) I used dyndns.org, there are a couple of sites that are free, I use this one because I have many domains I am using. SO you create a domain name it can be anything you want, after that you do a port forward in your router port 80 to your doorbell IP address, and the loxone external url will be something like this http://domainname.dyndns.org/bha-api/video.cgi

beschni

Loxone also offers a free DNS service. If you are able to access the Miniserver remotely now, then you might be using it already and don't need to set one up. The external URL for video is clouddns:8090 (replace 8090 with the port that you forward to the Doorbird camera) when using the Loxone DNS service.

http://clouddns:1234/bha-api/video.cgi

replace '1234' with the external port that you use in your port forwarding rule to point to doorbird internal port 80.

(make it a high and random number)

PD: I don't have any knowledgement about Iptel... I supose I need an account, but what else?

It is done via a sip server. Eg: antisip
You just need to set up a free sip account then enter details into both the Loxone config and into the settings in the Doorbird.
However I have found that the sound quality is poor compared with audio via the Doorbird app.
If anyone knows how sound quality could be improved please let me know.

Thought I’d posted this last night, so apologies if I’m repeating.
I’ve previously successfully integrated two Doorbirds in Loxone (video only).
However I can access neither now from the Loxone App, LAN or WAN. As far as I am aware nothing in the configuration has changed and both are accessible as normal using the DoorBird app.
Any ideas as to what has gone wrong?

Hello everyone,

I want to do one thing in loxone but I don't know if it is possible. DoorBird API has the ability to show latest image, that was captured when someone pressed on the doorbell, I want to show that image in loxone (I don't need the live video feed), is it possible to do, without using stuff like webpage block?
