Hello,

One of our 2 loxone systems stopped working. No indikation of any communication on LAN port - solid green.

Both lights blink orange.

It is a newer miniserver 2, 2-3 years old (Miniserver one 6 years old works fine in bigger install.)

Both lights blink orange.

Dead LAN port?
Lan works fine as tested directly to laptop.

Any ideas?

I have had this in the past at one site after doing updates remotely, it seems completely random.

A workaround that has worked in the past is removing the LAN cable and restarting the Miniserver, after about 5mins plug the LAN cable back in and all of a sudden it decides it wants to connect to the LAN

Other times I have removed the SD card from the Miniserver and rebooted it with the LAN cable connected and then insererted the SD card with the Miniserver running.

Hope one of these helps

Paul

Response from Loxone below,
My setup is fiber with TP Link fiber to ethernet + ethernet switch in small bulding driving 24V DMX D4 only. Nothing else took a hit... AVR, Heatpump, AP etc all good.

Hello Stefan Latt,

Thanks for reaching out to Loxone Support!

Following a thorough analysis of the claimed Miniserver, we have determined that the damage was caused by external influences such as overload, incorrect wiring, incompatible load type, unsuitable dimming method, or overvoltage from the power supply or other installation-related sources.

In this case the cause was an overvoltage over Ethernet as one of the checked resistors has only 18,1 Ohm to GND.

As this type of damage is not covered under warranty and is unfortunately not repairable or economically viable to fix, we regret to inform you that we cannot offer a replacement or repair.

 Thank you for your understanding.

We’re committed to providing fast, free support. Feel free to reach out if you have more questions.

 Smart Regards,
