I'm having a range of Siemens StudioLine products in our new home, which all connect to Home Connect.

For the hob with built in suction, I would like to detect when it powers on (to enable opening of a freshair valve to mitigate a vacuum building up in the house), however there are no outputs from the hob itself (and I'm not ready to open it up as warranty will be void, besides its already installed now) so I need to find another way to detect whether it's operating.

I can see that Home Connect is built in for current miniservers, but not for gen1....any other ideas as to how to do this?

Thanks
Ole

Hi.

When the device powers on what other physical parameters change (Eg. Does it draw more power, does it vibrate, does it change air pressure, and so on)? These could be things that could easily be detected by sensors and used in your automation.

Nothing really changes - I could live with only detection once power is drawn from supply, however it is a 3 phase system.
Would have liked to tap into the Home Connect world maybe through a HTTP request, but else I guess I need to find somehow to measure current draw with a relay triggering when activated? Any ideas?

Thanks

Here’s the home connect api link for current operation state - is this what you’re after? https://api-docs.home-connect.com/states?#operation-state Thanks, Aaron

Thanks AaronP, apparently these API's would be able to provide the status of the device, but it is not possible to implement such in Loxone Config directly and I would need some programming done (which I'm not confident in) running on another device if I understand correctly? If it was possible to directly use the API in Loxone Config it would have been great.

Thanks
Ole
