I have a motorised projector screen which I could control using an AIR IR but I'd prefer to have a little better control and lose the ugly control box.

The intention was to use a spare Nano Air Relay but on inspection of the the controller, I'm not sure if it'll work.

It appears that the controller has relays controlling the neutrals where as the nano air has shared neutrals and relay on the lives.

Options:

1. Reverse the polarity when wiring into the air relay.
2. It can't be done with the air relay
3. Use the AIR IR and forget the use of the nano (before causing a life insurance claim!)

Any other options appreciated

thanks

We’ve done this before. Shared neutral is fine as most blinds just require 230v on the up contact and 230v on the down contact to drive the motor.

Surely there are too many wires there for the motor - is it definitely 230v AC (I'm making this assumption based on the incoming colours..) any more details on the control box or a more revealing pic?

The left three wires appear to be your supply in; Live, Neutral and Earth.
The right four wires I would assume do your motor control. Don't assume they're 230V however. Use a multimeter to measure between the four poles when running the screen up and down.
You might find one of these is a common neutral (if your motor runs at 230v) or ground (if your motor runs at 24v).
