Hi,

I'm looking for a reliable plug compatible with Loxone. I want to be able to turn the power on and off. I don't have Loxone Air and I don't think the plug would be able to reach the Air Extension anyway. I do have a cable running to the place where I want to put the polug however.

So the plug can be either wi-fi, or controlled by inputs, or even wired with rj45.

Thanks.

What sort of cable have you got?  My Loxone install is in the basement with a concrete slab above which is almost certainly impervious to Air signals so my Air extension is on the ground floor.  Power and Loxone Link run over a Cat6 cable.

Alternatively could you create a socket controlled by Loxone (rather than a plug top).  You could either run a 240V cable all the way back or install a relay locally and control the relay with a Loxone digital output (running at low voltage over a CAT cable).

Yeah, that's a possibility. It's a 5e cable. 90€ loxone air + 90€ loxone socket seem rather expensive/overcomplicated ! I was looking for a simple solution using 1 wifi socket.

Duncan has been experimenting with some low cost Wi-Fi sockets in this thread here:
