Hello,

This might sound like a stupid question but I am not an electrician, I'm much more into the programming side of things so please go easy on me! I should also ad that I won't be carrying out this work but need to try to explain what I want to do to an electrician who isn't into wiring for automation.

Is it possible to use one of the above in conjunction with a Touch for Nano to replace a two gang traditional switch that controls two circuits of switched lighting? The existing bulbs will be replaced with dimmable ones, the existing two circuits will work as one. Could anyone describe the method to use existing wiring to end up with the Nano and Touch in place of the existing switch?

Hi Harry,
you do not mention which country you are in - wiring tends to be different in each.

Loxone's web site has a good guide to do exactly this https://www.loxone.com/enen/kb/nano-dimmer-air/

If in the UK the problem you may have is that there is not live and neutral present in the switch.
You need to find a way to get that there - an electrician could advise.

Cheers David

if you havnt got a neutral at the switch and cant run a wire then you may be able to use a nano for each circuit at the first light fitting in each chain where there will be live and neutral, and rewire at the old switch to send the live permanently to the nano location

you can then use a touch air as the switch at the original switch location

I was looking for a similar solution for USA. Unfortunately, Nano-Dimmer is not available in the USA market.
I ended up using the Lutron Caseda switches (These retro fit nicely with existing wiring)  and then bridging it to Loxone system.
