Dear all,

Has anyone had any experience with or a played with the KLF100 interface control box from Velux?

I've got 2 electric roof windows that are also fitted with electric blinds!

Speaking to Velux on few different times to try and get a straight answer, but getting different feedback each time.
"Yes you would be able to control each window and blind separately to open or close"
"You are only able to control all 4 together. all open OR all closed.

Some clarification and advise on programming if it is possible would be much appreciated

Regards,

Ash

No experience with the KLF100 but I do control the 24V DC motors of Velux electric blinds directly without any of their interface or controller accessories.
2 wires per motor so you need to reverse polarization to go in the other direction.
No experience with the solar powered wireless version.

Catching up on roof lights. One quick question on direct wiring. How does Loxone know when the window is fully open or closed. Do you have to set up based on timer or does the motor automatically cut out when finds resistance?

depends on the make of roof light - the blind or garage door function block both use a timer - i find the garage door block works better for some makes

some have a cutoff switch when fully open or closed - the last ones i used have a closed cutoff, but not an open cutoff, so the timer in the garage door block is critical to limiting the opening motor. the blinds module will reactivate the opening motor despite being 100% open, whereas the garage door block doesnt - once it thinks the door is fully open then it wont supply further power to the opening motor.

unfortunately i have no experience of velux motors

this particular light has a mechanical cutoff at both open and closed limits, so you can use a blinds block and need to set its internal timer just long enough to fully open or close
