Virtual Output not triggering Tasmota Smart Plug

I have a smart plug which has been flashed with Tasmota v9.4.0 and connects easily to my wifi network so I am able to send http commands to it.

However, although I can successfully send http commands through a browser to switch on/off, I can’t seem to get the same commands to work in Loxone through a Virtual Output.

I attach screenshots of my Loxone VO config in case I’m doing something obviously wrong.

Cheers

Hi Rob,

I have the same setup (although an earlier version of tasmota I think).

My config looks exactly the same as yours apart from I’m sending a content type header (HTTP extension in loxone speak) with the value:  Content-type:"text/html”

I can’t remember why I added this, so it might not be significant.  The only other thing I can think of is some sort of TCP routing issues between Loxone and the plug, are both on the same subnet?  If not have you configured a route between subnets ?

Cheers
Steve.

Thanks Steve
I've added the same text as you but still no joy.
I can switch the socket on/off using the standard commands through a web browser so I know it will receive and respond correctly on my network.
I've checked my network settings and there doesn't seem anything which would prevent the Miniserver communicating with the smart socket, it will happily ping the smart socket so assume network settings not an issue.

No, that doesn't work. I didn't think it would as the command syntax isn't correct.

entering "http://x.x.x.x/cm?cmnd=Power%20On" works in a browser just not through a Loxone virtual output

Ok, schoolboy error, I missed out the colon after http in the VO IP address...!!!

Many thanks to Loxtom577 over on the German Loxforum who spotted this.

All working now...

Try running something like this
https://github.com/stephenhealey86/ReturnToSender and compare the request, I’d also try replacing %20 with a space as Loxone might do something odd with url encoding

Thanks David
Problem was a missing colon (!!) but thanks for the link, that'll be handy in future.
Cheers

Note that I have had an issue with these plugs or other ESP8266 devices sometimes entering sleep mode, and therefore needing a bit of time to wake up. So what I do is I repeat the command 2 or 3 times, with intervals of 1 or 2 seconds... that usually does the trick for me.

Thanks Peter, I'll keep an eye out for that.
