Bundling Tree RGBW dimmer channels?

Hi,

My wife picked a chandalier which is a 230V unit but according to the supplier it's not dimmable. Upon arrival of the thing I have noticed that it contains 4 constant voltage 24V led drivers (3x1.25A + 1x2.5A). The 2.5A one can draw more power than what the Tree RGBW dimmer can handle (2.1A).

Do I have any options to drive this lamp using tree dimmers (and not investing in DMX infrastructure - extension, dimmers - for now)? Is there any way I can "bundle" two channels so power is split between channels?

Thanks,
Andras

the driver ratings dont necessarily match what the lamp will actually use - can you measure the current draw on full brightness for the main light? or look at the light source to see what it is labelled as?

i suspect things are not right here, after all 24v at 2.5A is 60w, theres no way its got a led in it drawing 60w and presume that current rating was for a halogen or incadescent bulb previously used. 60w would be the same as 360w of conventional bulbs, plus the other 3 power supplies/ bulbs

It's this light: https://novaluce.gr/Products/LED%20MODERN%20PENDANT%20LUMINAIRES/Aria/17222004

It says it's a 135W LED light. It's damn bright... This is the reason the question of dimming it came up in the first place. Unfortunately I didn't find any easy way to disassemble the rings but I suspect it has some high power led strip in it.

I will wire it on a KNX relay with current measurement and measure the power it picks up when lit. Your thinking is that it will not use most of the power available and could be driven on a single RGBW dimmer?

The link you sent says it is non dimmable!
Not clear if it is the drivers or the LED tape which is non dimmable - if the tape there is not much you can do!

any bare led is dimmable if you remove the existing drivers, so thats not too much of a concern, but the massive power/lumens output will require a suitable dimmer. check its definately constant voltage rather than constant current though as many high output leds would be CC rather than CV, but led tape is usually CV

in theory bundling 2 channels for the high current output should be ok if you already have tree, as long as the 2 channels are driven exactly the same, or as you say, get a dmx extension and a non-loxone high current dmx dimmer.

If you are always going to use the lamp dimmed down, you could use a single channel for the main led and set the scaling of the output to a lower value using a divider between the light controller and tree output - that way even the 'all on' would be limited.
