whenever I use Loxone Config (which isn't that often) I seem to have trouble logging into my miniserver.

I *think* it's because it's infrequent enough that my first step is to update the config software.  It then won't login and I've resorted to rebooting the mini server via the phone app. Then I can login and am notified a mini server update is available.

Clearly I'm not doing this frequently enough to be completely sure this is what is happening - is anyone else having the same issues?

Hi Simon

Yep, I have been experiencing a similar issue. I have also had to resort to physically power cycling the MS which is not something I am fond of doing. I did raise a ticket and sent my Config file to Loxone but they have been unable to replicate the issue. I also engaged in a Team Viewer session but again without success.

You could try removing your SD card and resetting the password directly. This seemed to work for me for a while until I updated Config to the latest version at which point it happened again.

You can also try typing in your browser the MS Ip address, followed by /sys/dev/logoff  which may avoid having to power cycle the MS.

The reboot via the iPhone app would avoid having to power cycle

I believe I have identified what is causing this ''''........too many login attemps" problem.
Some time ago I installed Loxberry on a RPi which requires access to the MS and my login details. Not so long ago I changed my MS password, completely forgetting about the Loxberry.
It would appear that Loxberry has been attempting to access the MS with an incorrect password, therefore creating the too many failed login attempts.

Moral of the story: When changing a password, don't forget to update the peripherals!

Nothing other than apple devices is logging into my mini server. And they’re not using the admin account.

Also, the timeout for the “too many attempts” was t working - wait x minutes and try again and it still reported incorrect (until rebooted at which point was fine)

Second moral of the story: use a different username (and password) for each different "thing" logging in to the MS. I have one for each of Home Assistant and Loxberry. This was if any of them get in a spin it's only that device locked out. Also it of course allows more exact fine grained permissions. No point giving Loxberry permission to reprogram the miniserver itself for example.
