Hi

Did anyone succeed to use a KNX group address that switches off all the lighting, to do the same on the DMX controlled lighting managed by Loxone?

I tried to couple the group address to the lighting controller but that does not switch off the dmx controlled RGB led strips. I used the KNX group address as a sensor, which is probably not the correct way of doing it.

I would like to use the all off KNX controlled switch to turn off the lightning until I find a way to automate the lighting. I did not find yet a presence sensor that fits my needs for the living room.

Thanks
Steven

you can definately use a knx switch to turn off all lights in loxone, whatever kind they are:

1) set up a knx sensor with a matching group address in loxone config - ensure it is set to give a pulse when pressed not a traditional knx 'on' which stays on
2) connect the knx sensor to either the R reset input of a lighting controller, or to turn off multiple lights at once such as a goodbye function, connect it to the Loff input of a central block or the R input of a lighting overview, with either of those blocks linked to the relevant lighting controllers

ive attached a screen shot showing a knx button resetting the lighting block, whos outputs are a mixture of knx, dmx and wifi dimmersCapture.JPG

a knx off from a push button isnt the same as a pulse in loxone - can you send a screen shot of your config knx sensor configuration please

I was already afraid for that.
It all started with an EIB installation that is extended with Loxone.
The pushbuttons and actuators are all on EIB but the logic is more or less in Loxone.

Update on how to solve this problem in Loxone without changing the KNX/EIB configuration.
Thanks to Rob_in in another threat, I learned that you can use the "KNX/EIB advanced sensor" so that every "on" or "off" KNX message is interpreted by loxone as a pulse.
Just put the group address as a value in "KNX/EIN address Pulse" and it KNX/EIB sensor works like Loxone expects it.

With this knowledge, I could solve two issues that I had. In a very simple manner solved the EIB/KNX all off function problem and extended it to Loxone and made it a hybrid solution.
But also switching led strips on and off works perfectly this way. Looks like all the EIB actuators controlling led strips are failing one by one after 10 years, luckily I can now switch them all easy to a DMX controlled fashion.

Thanks
Steven
