Greetings,

I have multiple extensions wired into my miniserver.  Several of them are straight forward and located next to the miniserver and the loxone link simply jumps from one to the next.  Some of them are quite a long distance away and the link was tied into a random extension next to the miniserver creating more of a star topography.

At this point everything seems to be working properly but now I just added an Air Extension and noticed that I cannot find a termination resistor on any of the extensions.  Reading the documentation, it says to place the resistor across the last extension.

Does anyone have an opinion if this is a bad thing to have a star on the loxone link?  Is it normal that if you have an extension located remotely that you would send 2 wires out to the extension and 2 wires back which would hook up to the next extension in line and therefore you would have a "Last" extension for terminating?

Thanks in advance for your advice.

Hi, you can do daisy chain, star, but never return the link into a loop, the resistor most be at the far away extension and it is necesary for not to loose data traveling trought the link.

Im pretty sure a star topology is not supported.

I have three boards where extensions are located. The "middle" location has a return pair of conductors which come back to the main automation board and then onto the third location which had the resistor across the last extension.

The total length is around 190m and everything is working quite well. The longest run is around 130m which is a CAT7 cable.
