Pool light control

Hi all:

I am trying to switch on the pool light (activated by a relay) at dusk and turn it off 4 hours later, something simple that is driving me nuts to solve.

Please find attached my configuration right now. I have a time pulse (1 sec) at dusk that triggers an Off Delay (supposely the output turns off after an adjustable delay after the input turns off, in my case 14400 secs for 4h) directly connected to the ON of the lighting control module and the LC1 output to the Q14 relay.

Light turns ON the right way but it never goes OFF, only manually.

Any help will be much appreciated.

Best regards,

You really need to send a pulse to ON, not assert it high. And then send a pulse to OFF at the point you want it to turn off again. So a delayed pulse could work:

This will be annoying though if you use the Lighting Controller in any other way (manual switch or through app) as the lights will randomly turn off 4 hours after dusk. So if you;re not using it any other way, save the bother and just use a 'switch' block rather than a lighting controller.

If you ARE using the lighting controller in a normal way, a more canonical approach would be to have the dusk pulse go into the mood input (e.g. T5/1) to enable the desired dusk mode, and use the Met parameter to set when you want the lights to turn off automatically after manual operation. (Ideally in conjunction with presence sensor to delay auto turn off if the area is still occupied.)
