hello

I have a knx dimmer, working fine.
On the Loxone mini-server, there is a push button: [I6: on/off dim-light]

problem 1:
I don't get it work, to switch on or off the dim-light:

The block has an ON and an OFF. But no Tr input.

How do I convert the "toggle-input" to a "on-puls" and a "off-puls" on the On/Off-inputs of de KNX dimmer block...

Problem 2:
I want to be able to set a specific value to the dim-light, depending of the time...

Scenario: when time is between 10h P.M. and 7h A.M., the dim-light is set on 50% when the button is pushed, other time it is 100%.

How can I realize this? My I first idea was to use a 'virtual input' as value to set to the P-input of the KNX-Dimmer block, but can't give a virtual input 'a value'...

Thank you

Hi,

What make/model is this dimmer? And what events does it spit out when it's controls are adjusted? Is you KNX dimmer sending commands to other KNX devices in your home (a KNX actuator) or just to the Miniserver which then acts on this?

Why i ask is that I have KNX switches that I simply configure to be regular inputs. When the controls (buttons) on the KNX device are pressed the Miniserver decides what to do with this input. There is no need for any KNX specific block in this situation. I think others here have their systems configured to work that way too.

Hi Robin

It is a Bosch Jaeger (ABB) dimmer,
I've 5 group-addresses: on/off; on/off-feedback; knx-dimming; set-value;  set-value-feedback

I can use this, for control the dimlight in the interface, this works good.

the dimmer can be controlled by other knx switches, this works fine.

But now, I have "a push button, not knx", connected to a binary input of the mini-server.

I want, just like the KNX switch, a one-button on/off function, that can turn on/off the light, or even better, set a 1-100% value to the dimmer.

For example by giving the "P" input of the "KNX EIB dimmer" a value... of 50%, when I push a button connected to the binary input of the miniserver!

I can't figure out how to do this...

Thank you,

Hello

I did find a solution for the logic I wanted. Depending on time, controlled by "daylight" and "switch-timer", I have 3 possible max-values voor the dimmer, day, evening/morning and night.

though, I have the feeling this is not the easiest way to accomplish this...
