Nano Dimmer Air - how do I configure it to be on/off like a normal switch?

Installed my first nano dimmer air module to landing and all seems to work fine except that I need it to just switch the light on and off rather than fade up or down. I have set it to come on at 100% but don't want the fade up or down.

I know I could have used the nano IO air as a switch but I want the dimmer functionality for later.

Am I setting it wrong? I've set it as a smart actuator.

If you highlight the output of the dimmer then look on the left hand side under properties there will be a property called "type of dimming" set this to off.

Thanks Kev

Unless i'm doing something wrong that hasn't worked. It just means the light is permanently off. The relay clicks when you press the switch but nothing turns on.

Hi Rob,

Apologies,

I think there are two ways you can do it.

1. Set the actuator type to standard on the nano dimmer.
Then when you highlight the analogue output there should be a fade rate setting. i believe there should be a setting called jump that should make it fade instantly.
Also make sure you set a type of dimming to something other than off.
I don't think this will work properly with the new lighting controller but should work fine with a simple on/off switch

I believe the second way to do it is how Loxone intended the new lighting controller to work.
2. set the nano dimmer air to smart actuator and choose a type of dimming.
on the lighting controller block properties under parameters there should be two parameters SI and ST playing around with these I think will change how fast the light dims up and down.

Just play around with it.

Thanks Kev
I'll have a play around.
I can see most of the settings you mention but will have to wait until tomorrow to test it as everyone else is in bed now......!!!!

OK, seems like I am half way there.

After much fiddling about the light now switches off instantly but still fades up to 100% when turning it on. Unfortunately I didn't have time to be very logical about changing settings so not really sure how I got here but will give it another go over the next few days.

I might have to re-install the lighting controller and start again so i can document any changes i make.
