Has anyone here successfully integrated with a Restful API using HTTPS? It doesn't appear that the API is accessible via HTTP. Here's what Loxone support had to say about it:

HTTPS does not have documented support by default, and we aren't able provide programming examples for specific integration needs. Custom programming is possible, but not recommended as we cannot ensure that the system will continue to function with every update.

I don't think the mini server is capable of processing SSL requests. I tried to front it with apache on a raspberry pi to gain SSL but the IOS app had all sorts of http direct hooks. They recently moved to angular - might be worth another go...

Miniserver <-> Raspberry PI Apache/Ngnx/Node Proxy <-> SSL <-> IOS Client/Android Client or REST API Client.

The issue with http direct hooks in iOS app was still there last time I checked.

At Voxior we made a turn-key solution for non-technical users to enable a similar type of secure connection as you suggested. We did figure out how to https parts of the communication and still let mentioned http hooks through. Interestingly Android connects differently but had issues with some other requests, which we also resolved.

To make things even more secure we enable users to use a complete end-to-end encryption with VPN on Demand and IKEv2/IPsec. Users just need to import a config file sent over email to enable secure access and VPN is connected automatically when Loxone app is used.

Installers can also offer this to their customers by simply sending them a preconfigured VoxiorLink device which just needs to be plugged into power and network by the end user:

Both products are just out of beta and we would love to hear your feedback on them.
