Hey all,

i'm a new Loxone engineer, been an electrician for over 15 years self employed for 8, I fancied a new challenge a to take the business in the smart home direction.

so bit of a back story, i've recently moved house and rewired the house and added all Loxone wiring as needed, with a view to use my house as a demo house/ learning curve. so i've decided to go down the Faradite sensor route and i'm struggling to get the movement sensor working, all connected to a digital input and on config when i simulate and press the button for sensor it shows bringing light on?

thanks

Rob

Hi Richard, welcome.
Which Faradite sensor have you used, as there's more than one type, and how have you wired it to the system?

Hi Rob,

Sorry I should have mentioned that, I’ve got the 0-10v lux.

Thanks

If its the 0-10V, then you need the light sensing part connected to an analogue input and the motion sensor connected to a digital input. Remember that the sensor needs a 24VDC supply as well. needs to be 24V as this is the voltage of the Loxone system. The digital input actually needs a 24V supply to trigger it. Have a look at the documentation on the nano air this shows how to connect the digital inputs, https://www.loxone.com/enen/kb/nano-io-air/ . Also page 2 of the technical documentation of the sensor shows how to connect it, https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1077/7172/files/MotionSensor360_DataSheet_2018_EN.pdf?2211
Hope this makes sense to you.

It just so happens I was sent an email by Faradite yesterday with a link to a youtube video which shows how to connect and configure their 360 sensors in Loxone.

Hi, Thanks for replies i can see the Lux working on liveview, but the motion sensor part doesn't want to work!? if i put into simulation mode the sensor brings the light on so config is right & have 24V at all sensors but they don't want to work for some reason and i cant figure why.......any sugestions?

Thanks!!
