Hi,

I have a few hard to get to places with lov voltage buttons.
The Loxone air buttons would work fine, but the design is not like the rest of the house, so I would like something I could hide behind the normal buttons.
I also don't have any Air devices.
I found this project:

Han anyone done something similar?

That device requires 230V power. If you have that, you could as well use the Nano IO Air, which has 6 inputs and 24V to connect to your low voltage buttons, and 2 relay 230V outputs
Using Air will be more reliable than relying on your wifi signal and LAN to be up all the time. Moreover, the powered Air devices act as router for larger coverage and backup routing paths.

Loxone Air is probably better, but I'm not sure I will stay with a Loxone setup in the future, so I have stopped buying Loxone, I would like to have something based on open standards. I think there are some signs of trouble, like preference of propietary standards in the Loxone camp.
Also, no support for https and the Loxone app is slow to start up, is other annoying issues.

Out of curiosity, which alternative products are you considering?

I haven't come to any conclusions. And I'm sticking with Loxone for the moment.
But I have a collegue with an OpenHAB setup, I like that the software and hardware is two different projects.

The formfactor sucks, but I work with these day to day, so I might try running OpenHAB on it:

But would prob. not go that route if it was not because I have access to the hardware.
