The latest release of the Loxone iOS app (11.2.2) says that iOS shortcuts can activate functions of the Loxone app.
That means that we'll be able to say "hey Siri, close the blinds" or things like that to activate Loxone functionalities.

But... On my iDevices, after the update to 11.2.2, Loxone App is still unavailable on the Shortcuts app... I think they released the wrong code...

I'm using the beta iOS app via Testflight, but to get a Loxone shortcut, first you need do something in the app such as close your curtains or turn your lights on, then go to the Shortcuts app and then you should be able to find Loxone listed under Apps, and the actions you will see should be your previous actions within the App.

For Siri control and whole household automations, I still think that Homebridge is easier.

Cheers,
Ewan

I've already made some shortcuts on Loxone app, so this is not the problem I think... Maybe this is limited to V2 miniserver ? (but as it is software only that would not be nice from Loxone)

Strangely without any update or reboot, Loxone is now on the shortcuts app... But there are 4 listed actions that doens't correspond to any of the shortcuts I've recorded in the app... Still very strange!

Ok, now I understand : the actions listed are the latest things I've done in the Loxone App. This is a bit limited for the moment, but can help for some Siri shortcuts natively.

@Arnaud : just open the Loxone App and do something you want to "shortcutize".
Open the Shortcuts App, on the main screen (My shortcuts), touch the "+" at the upper right corner, touch "add an acion", touch "apps", and then Loxone should appear in the list, with the action you just did. I think Loxone doens't appear untill you've done something in it.

Oh, now that is good.  We gave up on an Alexa as the voice commands were so 'un-natural'.  Getting it to work with Logitech Harmony was painful and unreliable.

This gives me 'hey siri, turn on the radio"/turn off the radio.

@simon. How have you got Siri to work, I just get ‘sorry can’t play that station’

it just worked....

I've added a few others 'open the roof', 'close the roof'
'turn everything off'  (can't use "goodnight" as it's supposedly already in use - must be reserved for some apple function)

Seems way superior to any other voice control  - not least it's per user so each person in household can have the voice command being something that's natural for them to say, rather than having to remember a command someone else set up.

@Arnaud : I’m French with a full French iOS! Go to the App Store and check that you have the latest version of the app (make a forced update of the apps)

Dear all,

Can someone tell me what is the benefit of installing an 1Home kit, now this new Loxone relaese is available and we can use Apple homekit/ Siri to voicecontrol Loxone.

The shortcuts works perfect for me, I can open my blinds now by asking Siri.
Which wont work is to activate my Loxone intercom, it wont show in the shortcut list. Is there a limitation (number) on the tasks you can fullfill by Siri?

Kind regards,

Rutger

My understanding is that the iOS App will provide shortcuts to actions you've already performed within the Loxone App, but ONLY on that specific device, whilst 1Home provides a way to create voice control for actions at a Loxone system level which is not device specific.

To be honest, I can see an advantage in having both.

I asked 1Home themselves (I bought a 1Home kit already) and this is what they respond:

Greetings,

thank you for your valid and very relevant question.

As this is something we have been working on for a while now we will in the beginning of January launch a detailed article describing your question.

I have forwarded your request to our staff which will provide me with a summary of your features listed/requested and will come back to you once I have received an answer, as I would like to inform you properly and not halfway.

Strange that it does not recognise/  load suggestions  with the audio server but will with the music server. Anyone else noticed this?
