Hello,
What should be put in the adapter configuration for influx db when using it within Loxberry.
In the Host, port, protocol, user  and password fields. I have put; localhost, 8086, http, and for the user and password as shown in the loxberry plugin info i have put dbadmin for both.
DB name - Iobroker. When I save this I just get a yellow circle not a green one.

ioBroker is nothing to do with Loxberry - it talks directly to your Miniserver.

Site note: you should create a user within Loxone config specifically for communication with ioBroker and only give that user access to objects it needs to see. Both for security and efficiency (if you give ioBroker access to everything it will monitor and update everything which would be silly if you only want to monitor a few sensors or switches for example).

But anyway, what has this got to do with Loxberry? Why are you asking if you should use the settings & credentials as show in the Loxberry plugin (which Loxnberry plugin?)?

Can you start by telling us what you are trying to achieve and what steps you have taken?

Thanks Rob_in, yes sorry perhaps a bit hastily written. I have a rasp pi4 and i installed io-broker, grafana and influx db to experiment with statistics which worked ok, then I decided to make a Loxberry image on the rasp Pi4  and installed the  Influx/node/Grafana plug in. I also installed io broker as I wanted to experiment with a harmony remote and hub (as well as statistics)
I created a user, (should this user have admin access?) in Loxone as i think you suggested in previous posts and in io-broker using the Loxone adapter I can see all the objects that i wanted to see. But when i try to link (not sure if this is the correct terminology) to influx db  I am not putting the correct details in the Host, port, protocol, user  and password fields as the status circle  in the instances column is yellow and not green,. I have put; localhost, 8086, http, and for the user and password as shown in the loxberry plugin info i have put dbadmin for both. Hope this makes sense?

So you had ioBroker, Grafana & InfluxDB working, right?

Then you threw that away and used a LoxBerry image?

Then you installed ioBroker over the top of your LoxBerry? In which case... what's the story with InfluxDB? Does that come pre-installed on the LoxBerry image you used? What port, etc. is that configured to listen on? If there is no influxDB instance on your LoxBerry, or it's configured on non-standard port that will be your issue.

Hi Rob_in,
Thanks again for your response.
"So you had ioBroker, Grafana & InfluxDB working, right?" - Yes this is correct
"Then you threw that away and used a LoxBerry image?" - Yes, I erased the  SD card and put Loxberry on instead.

"Then you installed ioBroker over the top of your LoxBerry? In which case... what's the story with InfluxDB? Does that come pre-installed on the LoxBerry image you used?" Yes I installed ioBroker on to the Loxberry, then I installed the plugin Influx/node/Grafana so no, it did not come preinstalled with the Loxberry image.
I have also installed the docker plug in which i understand is also necessary. The username/passwords for influx I am trying to use are the ones provided by the infl/nod/graf plug in on the Loxberry  - "dbadmin" for both listening on port 8086 and I am assuming "loxberry" as the host?  Anyone here done the same thing?
This is a big learning curve for me which is the object of the exercise so any thoughts/help/explanation is much appreciated!

Probably not the most useful reply, but I installed the full Telegraf, Chronograf, and InfluxDB, along with Grafana on my Loxberry using apt rather than the Loxberry plugin. I've not used a docker.

You need these repositories for apt:

I send stats from Loxone to InfluxDB using Loxone's UDP logger and this script https://github.com/budulinek/easy-loxone-influx/blob/master/1.UDP%20logger.md

I don't have ioBroker installed.

Cheers,
Ewan

Does Loxberry come with an instance of the InfluxDB server installed and running? if not, did you add it? Seems that could be what is missing.

You said you installed the "the plugin Influx/node/Grafana" but where? This only sounds like a client or does it also include the server? I suspect it's only a client which won't help if you don't have a server to connect to.

FWIW, you had everything working under ioBroker, right? My advice would be to go back to that :) I don't (and probably will never) use LoxBerry because I prefer generic solutions like ioBroker.
