Virtual Output Variables

With virtual outputs, is there a way to pass multiple variables thru the HTTP Post command string? In the examples, I see one variable represented by <v>. On a whim, I tried other letters  (i.e. <a>) but that didn't seem to work. 

Related, how do you pass RGB values from the lighting controller to a virtual output?

Use the text output of the State block to combine up to 4 variables, or multiple State blocks in series for more.
