So we picked up some of the Touch Nightlights and finally installed one of our NFC Touch Keypads.
The Nightlights are great - with a couple of key issues:
1. Why is the BBQ thermometer black and the Nightlight white? Better to have darker colors in the bedroom IMO.
2. The display is crazy bright. I basically keep it at 1% brightness. White is a terrible color for an LED - old school red segmented LEDs with a far dimmer setting would be useful
3.The regular clock functionality is really nice - I like that I can set an alarm right at the clock.
I may take one apart and see about replacing the display. I don't really want to buy a BBQ thermometer thing necessarily to switch cases, but I'll admit to being tempted.
The NFC Code Touch?
Whoever laid this thing out needs to reconsider their design career. Maybe I could have handled not having the "0" be at the bottom in the standard position every single other keypad would put it. But then to put an active button with a circle that looks an awful lot like a "0" right near where it should be? Yeah - not at all intelligently thought out is the nicest thing I can say about it. I'd like better haptic feedback as well.
