I'm sure I read that this was on Loxone's roadmap - does anyone know whether it is still happening or if it is any closer to release?

Hi Simon!

Loxone Config for Mac is not on our roadmap.
We use a lot of Macs ourselves at the Loxone offices, however reality is that most of our customers, especially the electricians out there, use Windows.
Doing a Mac port would bind a lot of our software teams resources for a long period of time. It would slow down development on our Smart Home functions.

I for myself use Virtual Box for Loxone Config and I'm quite happy with that.

Regards,
Florian

Hi florian, Microsoft are paving the way to make .net core available on Linux and Mac. Maybe in the future it might be possible?

Assuming of course everything config is dependent on is made available.

Ya I noticed a lot of macs in your office videos.  Glad to see the config software works through virtualization.  Also glad to see some loxone staff monitoring these boards.  It kind of threw up a red flag to me when I found out that loxone had deleted their own forums.  Usually a sign that marketing is unable to compensate or answer for technical issues that may exist and thus can't stand up to public scrutiny.
