To connect modbus RTU to Loxone I have used a Tasmota with a RS485 adapter with great success. It was a little tricky to setup as I initially bought an incompatible rs485 adapter.
I am happy to share the compiled source code. Plus some hints/tips, should anyone want them.
It is rather effective and uses a wifi connection. Plus, cost under three GBP as I already had an unused esp12 board.
This really nice thing is the Tasmota has a console so you can eliminate issues as either being between the bride and RTU device, or between Loxone and the bridge.
Best wishes, George

Correct. I use a miniserver gen 1 which communicates with the Tasmota via Modbus TCP. No extra hardware or licenses. The Tasmota then communicates via rs485 to the Modbus device via 3 lines (gnd/A/B) and this £3 breakout.
This is the breakout I use.

Needless to say, it did take me a few days to figure it out. Modbus is not known for its easy of use.
I have quite a lot of experience using Tasmota. So this part was very straight forward for me, eg compiling, uploading and testing.
