Hello,

I am new to this forum so hello to everyone :)

I am starting my journey with Loxone and I have faced the problem related to Virtual Input.

The current situation:
1) There is fan in the bathroom which is controlled via dmx dimmer (to control the speed of the fan).
2) I have used the Virtual input (slide bar) to control the speed.
3) It is connected to the Dimmer (Loxone block) to “P”.

4) I am also using the Loxone switch to control the speed of fan manually (not via app but via switch) – one switch to “+” another to “-“.

The point is that when I have activated the fan with the switch the virtual input knows nothing about it.

Is there any possibility to provide the feedback to virtual input that it will reflect the current situation (value Q from the dimmer) e.g. if I will activate the fan for 50% with the switch then the slide bar will show it accordingly.

Thanks for the support!

the obvious option is to use the visu of the dimmer to display the current output rather than the virtual input - perhaps even dispensing with the virtual input - you can open the dimmer and adjust the 'brightness' directly on the visu

alternatively ditch the dimmer and use the push button +/- block with the visu enabled

I agree that it would make sense to use in the visualization the dimmer block directly. The only disadvantage is that the icons in the dimmer are the bulbs - which can be misleading (as I have described I am using it to control the fan speed).
BTW is there any option to change the icons in the dimmer (and/or other) blocks?

Regards
Kamil
