Looking to replace my very old denon amp (no ethernet control) looking at the AVR-1700X / 2700X range has anyone been able to control these with loxone over ethernet, just basic like out of standby select output and off.

I have controlled many AVR-2000X amps very successfully.  I think it's pretty safe to assume the 700X range is based on the same comms protocol.  There is a template in Loxone Config already that appears to work fine for the 2000X.  I've also attached the protocol documentation which might help you.

In fact, here's the lnk to the 2021 IP Control docs and they look identical except for the new additions.  https://www.denon.com/-/media/files/documentmaster/denonna/fy21avr_denon_protocol_v02_04062020.xlsx

Hi thanks TomM

Forgot to add to original message I - I have a loxone music server all zones wired atm but the wireless zones are unused denon supports upnp Dlna so I assume I can add this to the loxone music server as a zone (Lounge is only room without loxone wired speakers)

No problem.  Re the music server zone, I don't know and don't have a music server to test with - sorry!  Theory appears sound but you never know until you try with this type of thing.
