Has anyone contrived a way to have push notifications arrive on a phone with an easy way for the user to perform an (optional) action based on the notification?
Classic example is arm/disarm the house.
Or equally, their worked example of warning the garage door is open is crying out for a button to "Close Now" the door, or even just a simple way to have the app open up on the relevant "garage door" page when the notification is acknowledged.

In Home Assistant you can do this with Actionable Notifications, which contain a simple Yes/No type prompt as part of the notification, which (on android at least) can be selected directly from the system notification window

Actionable notifications would immensely add additional value and possibilities but also complexity on the config-side. I doubt Loxone would do that.

That is why I am using Home Assistant as my primary Interface for Loxone. Loxone is so far behind regarding user interfacing, graphs, etc but any progress cannot be expected with the current Miniserver. There is just not enough computing power.

The progress Home Assistant is making is stunning, indeed.
It is still not as user friendly as Loxone, and it is easy to mess things up, resulting in stability issues.

My Loxone is rock solid and my HA does fail now an then. Mostly by my own faults, because you can mess with everything ;-)
But used with some care and dedication, it is a fantastic platform that can interface with all electronics existing on planet earth :-P

How did you integrate Loxone with HA? Are you using a Loxone add-on/plugin in HA?

Thanks!
Gert

In my setup, Loxone takes care of the stuff that would be complex using HA (for instance physical buttons, controlling light, access, etc).

The things Loxone cannot do or charges ridiculous amounts of money for (smart plugs, A/C interfaces, modbus,...) are done with HA. Home Assistant has a Loxone (custom) integration that I use to get/send data between the systems. User interfacing is done in Home Assistant.

Nice!
I'm doing more or less the same and wrote some code to sync some sensors between Ha and Loxone, but it is quite a hassle when I need new sensor integrations. How do you solve this? Or are you using the https://github.com/JoDehli/PyLoxone ?
I never used it but I don't know if it's possible to only sync the Loxone blocks that I want to sync.
