I'm using Loxone dimmer extension throughout my house, and when i use it, the lights don't come on up until 30%. How do i adjust them so that they come on at 5% for example
Thank you again

Which dimmer? 24v LED or 240v mains? What 'lights' (bulbs) are you using? I assume LED, but mains or 24v and what brand, etc?

If you use live view on your Miniserver and check the output is actually what it's supposed to be (ie. 10% or something) then I would assume there is some incompatibility with the bulbs.

From my experience of dimming Led bulbs is that they tend to either flicker at lower percentages less than 20% or are completely off. The flicker can sometimes be got rid off by using higher wattage LED bulbs.
Most LED dimmable bulbs prefer Trailing Edge dimming. This is something you can set in the dimmer extension. You can also adjust the percentage at which they come on, so 20% can be set to equal 0%. I think its in the properties for the lighting controller or in the output block from the controller, Its been a while since I have used a Loxone dimmer.

Hi Rob and thanks for replying.  I'm using Loxone dimmer 230v with dimmable Philips LED bulbs (good quality ones)
They work well and smoothly dim in and out,  I just want to adjust them so they come on at a lower percentage Esther than coming on at 30%

Sounds like that could be it? Failing that, as I said,  use live view on your Miniserver and check the output is actually what it's supposed to be (ie. 10% or something). Or take a meter and check the actual voltage at the physical output of the dimmer.

Thanks for the suggestion,  I'll try that and see what happens with adjusting the dimming percentage.  Im using these bulbs https://www.downlightsdirect.co.uk/philips-high-lumens-7w-gu10-led-masterled-spot.html
The bulbs don't flicker at all and have smooth operation

Hi Duncan in future what dimmable gu10 bulbs would you suggest for best operation?

i found that 'best' depends on your requirement such as brightness, however my preference is for the newest Philips gu 10 leds

for best light quality then the Philips Expercolor 5.5w - these have a CRI of 97+ and a R9 (red colour) >75
they also dim very well (as good as most dimmable gu10)
brightness is around 380-400 lumens which is the definition of a 50W gu10 replacement
available in 2700k, 3000k and 4000k and 25 and 36 degree angles
12v mr16 versions available in 10, 24 36 and 60 degree

for higher brightness they also have a 6.2w 80w equivalent dimmable  - (not the older 7w versions)
575+ lumens
CRI 90

as already mentioned by others you can expand the dimming range by adjusting the output scaling
some gu10 leds dim lower once they have started compared to where they light up when dimmed up from off

you may have to use some extra logic to give the leds a startup brief pulse at 100% brightness (eg 50ms at 100% then back to the planned dimmed level although you wont notice this visibly) - the Shelly dimmers can do this internally without extra loxone logic)

when you have found out what dim value they will start at after the warmup pulse then you can set this as your lower amount for the output scaling
