Hello,

I want to create lighting logic with a single switch but can't figure out how can I achieve it. So I have a DALI lights, which are controlled by KNX objects and I have "normal" switches (non latching) connected to loxone digital inputs. What I have now is "EIB Dimmer" function blocks, which controls all my lights pretty good and also I have a "multi-click" block for my switch which goes to "EIB Dimmer" on and off inputs, so that if I press it briefly it turns on the light and if I press it briefly two times it turns off the light. What I want to achieve - if I press the switch briefly - lights turn on fully, if I press it two times - if turns off fully, but also, I want that if I hold the switch if would increase brightness of the lights and if I hold it after pressing two times - it would decrease brightness. So let's say the light is turned off and I hold the switch - it would increase brightness in steps like10 percent/second or something like that and then if I release the button and press it again two times and on the second one I hold it - brightness would go down the same rate as increasing and stop as soon as I release the switch. Maybe someone has already implemented something like this?

Thank You in advance.

Hi,

Sounds like you want a combination of the multi-click and long-press blocks which doesn't exist. So you'll have to build this logic yourself. You can achieve most things but it can get overly complicated very quickly. Depends how many switches you want to do this with.

Maybe it's better to just use the Lighting Controller and it's in-built stuff as it has short clicks to turn on, double click for all off and press-and-hold dimming?

The other thing is, and I've argued this before, is that if you want to control dimming from your light switches you've probably not done mood configuration properly. Ie. selecting one of the pre-defined moods should be suitable for 99% of your use. For that other 1% just get your phone out and using the app. We have an open plan living area with 8 light circuits in it and I never want to dim anything manually - just mixing predefined moods in and out works fine.

Try the following logic diagram, it is not exactly what you want, but may fit your needs. Otherwise you will have to make some changes and specify exactly the increasing and decreasing of the brightness.
