First, I have to say:

Go Patriots!!

I am a New England Patriots fan and am looking forward to their
playing in the Super Bowl today. One of my co-workers at Wal-Mart
asked me today if I had jumped on the bandwagon. In all honesty, I
must say yes. In 1986, I was living in Enfield, Connecticut and the
New England Patriots were going to the Super Bowl agains the Chicago
Bears. I jumped on the bandwagon and was rooting for the Patriots.
They lost miserably (I think the score was 132-6 -- it wasn't quite
that bad, but it was bad enough). But I have been following them ever
since.

That same year, I also jumped on the bandwagon for the Boston Red Sox
as they made it to the World Series against the New York Mets. The
Sox lost that Series as well--it was a sad year for New England teams.

Anyway, I am excited for the game. But I will be working at Wal-Mart
through it. I work 3-11 and the game starts at 6, but will be over by
the time I get done with work. Such is the life at retail stores.

In life news, the new semester has started. I teach Monday through
Thursday, but 8am to 5pm each day when you include office hours and my
new professor orientation class I am required to take. That doesn't
include grading papers nor preparing lessons, neither. I am teaching
18 credits this semester, up from 16 last semester. I am still
teaching MTH 004 PreAlgebra and MTH 006 Basic Algebra. Instead of MTH
153 (Topics in Mathematics) like I did last semester, I am teaching
MTH 180 College Algebra and Trigonometry.

Bella loves her new school and her new teacher Mrs. Campana. The
other night after I had finished reading her a book, she asked if we
could pray. She prayed that God would help her not wet the bed, then
to end her prayer, she said, "I love Mrs. Campana. Amen." I pray
that she never loses that desire for school. Right now, she is making
salt-dough ornaments for her classmates for valentines day and
homemade valentine's day cards. She loves crafts and being creative.

Chi is still being a big helper for Suzy. He is talking much better
and throwing less temper tantrums, so the Terrible Two's seem to be
almost over. That is a good thing since he turns 3 on March 8. He
spends most of his days playing with cars, trucks, trains, and "momma
and papa." We have a Noah's Ark with animals and Noah and his wife.
He uses the two people with his car garage to play house and calls
them momma and papa.

Ali is getting bigger everyday. She just started sitting up by
herself. She can't put herself in that position yet, but if we sit
her up, she can stay there on her own. She doesn't like rice cereal,
but does like barley cereal. Next week she gets to start vegetables.
Suzy is going to try to make our own baby food again with our food
processor. She already has some carrots and pears made up.

Suzy has attended a local MOPS group (her saving grace in Point
Marion). There are two here local and I think she wanted to try each
one before deciding on one or the other, but she really liked the
first one she tried, so she might just stay with that. There is also
a Christian Writer's group in Williamsport that she is lookingto be a
part of. They meet once a month, and she cannot attend this month's
meeting due to prior committments, so hopefully she will find success
in that next month.

The attached picture is from Christmas when my mom was visiting. I
thank God daily for my beautiful family. He has blessed me more than
I deserve.

Happy February and Happy Valentine's Day. More in a month...
