Graphic Equalizer Studio is a software application that allows users to adjust the balance between frequency components within an audio signal. Typically, graphic equalizers are used to fine-tune audio outputs to match a specific acoustic environment or to cater to personal listening preferences.

Overtone GEQ is a free 7-band harmonic (overtone) graphic equalizer AudioUnit, AAX, and VST plugin with multi-channel operation support (supporting up to 8 input/output channels, audio host application-dependent). Overtone GEQ offers extensive internal channel routing capabilities, and supports mid/side channel processing.

Most graphic equalisers divide sound between 6 and 31 bands of frequency, with a physical or virtual slider controlling the volume of each band. If, for example, the treble is too loud on a track, cutting the volume on one or two of the higher frequency bands can soften it. If the bass is shaking the windows, you can just lower the slider of one of the lower frequency bands.

Note: To edit an EQ preset, select a preset, click the Edit icon. The Effect-Graphic Equalizer dialog box displays the graphic equalizer that you can adjust during playback, and save the changes.

In some EQ plugins, the user has the possibility of choosing the centerfrequency for each of the Frequency Bands. The center frequency of aBand will be the one most sharply attenuated or reinforced by theequalizer for that specific band. Frequencies surrounding the centerfrequency will be less affected.

Frames Per Second. Frame rate, or frame frequency is the frequency(rate) at which an imaging device produces unique consecutive imagescalled frames. The term applies equally well to computer graphics, videocameras, film cameras, and motion capture systems. Frame rate is mostoften expressed in frames per second (FPS).

In digital audio, a sample is the smallest possible segment of arecorded sound. In CD audio, for example, it takes 44,100 samples tomake one second of recorded sound, and so we can say that the samplingrate is 44,100 Hertz. Samples also have a bit depth whichdetermines the dynamic range that is possible to record andplayback. Common bit depths are 16 (for CD audio), 24 (for studiorecording and DVDs) or 32 (for sounds inside the computer).

SteinbergVST is aninterface for integrating software audio synthesizer and effect pluginswith audio editors and digital workstations such as Ardour. VST andsimilar technologies use digital signal processing to simulatetraditional recording studio hardware with software. Thousands ofplugins exist, both commercial and freeware. VST was created bySteinberg.
