An all day fruit growers garden school for the home gardener

The Lowcountry Fruit Growers Society
Registration will begin at 8am
Classes will begin at 9am
Order of classes has not yet been determined, but will follow this structure:
Class 1: 9am-9:50am
Class 2: 10am-10:50am
Class 3: 11am- 11:50am
LUNCH: 12noon – 1:20pm- Time to check out vendors and other exhibits. Lunch is on your own.
Class 4: 1:30pm – 2:20pm
Class 5: 2:30pm - 3:20pm
Expert Q&A: 3:30pm - 4:15
Doorprizes and Jam/Jelly Results announced: 4:15-??

People’s Choice Jam/Jelly Contest rules
Anybody registered for Fruitmania GS or participating may enter
Jam/Jelly must be made with fruit that “can” grow in the Lowcountry, does not have to have been grown by exhibitor.
Crackers and knives will be provided for tasting.
All registrants to Fruitmania GS will be supplied with one vote. The
Jam/Jelly that receives the most votes will be awarded the People’s
Choice for best tasting.
Please put name and type of Jam/Jelly on the bottom of the jar.
Other important notes:
Master Gardeners will be on hand to accept soil samples & answer questions
Vendors will be selling fruiting plants, books and food.
Static displays of various fruit growing techniques and other related matters.
All of this, plus admission into Cypress Gardens for the day for only $25
