Hello,

I have written a new blog post on this project, summaring the progress
so far:

http://www.rowetel.com/blog/?p=44

I have also created a SourceForge project to store all the files, you
can check out the code like this:

$ svn co https://lowcostata.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/lowcostata/trunk
lowcostata

Over the past week I have developed some C code to resample between 8
kHz mulaw and 16kHz unsigned. This works OK on a host PC.

Next steps are to start integrating all the building blocks together
and develop a method for cancelling echo.

Thanks,

David

There is some really good PIC ASM code for doing the conversion which
uses lookup tables (and hence only takes like 4 cycles).

I'll see if I can dig it up.
