Project development and administration
Barracks Lane Community Garden is a thriving project based in East Oxford www.barrackslanegarden.org.uk. It is coming to the end of a lottery funded Local Food Programme, but has been successful in gaining funding for a one year Supporting Change project. We are looking for someone with enthusiasm and with project management, outreach and administrative skills. It would suit someone living relatively locally to the garden who can work from home, independently on a self-employed basis, and who likes flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends.
The Garden needs someone organised and efficient and with an interest in the aims of the community garden project to provide the following services on a freelance basis:
Project administration
Supporting Change Project
Hours: Initially averaging 50 - 60 hours per month, but with the potential more work depending on the outcome of funding bids. We have funding for these services until at least until Sept 2013 and the contract will be reviewed and renewed as appropriate every 3 months.
The rate of pay is £12.50 per hour invoiced monthly in arrears
Work to start in August or September 2012
