We are delighted to invite you to our exhibition, "Roots No Shoots", which opens this Saturday, November 23 5-8PM at Smack Mellon
92 Plymouth Street Brooklyn NY
http://smackmellon.org/index.php/exhibitions/upcoming/

The show includes 15 video channels on 49 various video display devices of all sizes and eras.

"LoVid, the collaborative team of Tali Hinkis and Kyle Lapidus, manipulates raw electrical signals to explore the many ways in which the human body and mind observe and process both natural and technological environments. Their newest piece installed in the back gallery utilizes various types of monitors from different technological eras to play recordings they created in true DIY fashion--with LoVid's handmade synthesizer instruments in combination with unique tools from Experimental TV Center. Their prismatic-patterned low-fi imagery glistens and illuminates a colorful and complex array of cables within an otherwise pitch-black room."

We want to give a special THANK YOU shout out to:
Experimental TV Center, Lower East Side Ecology Center, Harvestworks, Sean Montgomery and Erica St. Lawrence, Joe McKay and Kristin Lucas, Okle Annum, Joan Storey, Francine Rosado and Jason Cruz, and Alex Betts.
