We have two events this week, a performance in NYC and an opening for an exhibition in Daejeon.
Telephone Rewired is an immersive art installation that invites the viewer to think about the future of human cognition. Upon entering the installation space, the viewer is engulfed by pulsing light and sound that mimic endogenous brain waveforms and transport the viewer to an altered state of mind in which patterns and internally-generated images seem to appear in your visual field.

Viewing of ReactionWear
Closing event of Out To See
206 Front Street New York, NYReactionWear is a new audiovisual performance with wearable technology and movement. LoVid (Tali Hinkis and Kyle Lapidus) together with collaborators Ashley Byler, Sally Im, and Tyler Henry have designed an interface that integrates the body of the performer with technology and the architecture of a performance space.
ReactionWear includes a garment with embedded electronics and sculptural elements that are incorporated into, as well as dictate, the choreography and the audiovisual composition. ReactionWear is part of a new body of work by LoVid that expands on their ongoing experimentation with audiovisual performances through handmade tactile technologies, sculptural instruments, participatory experiences, immersive environments, and interdisciplinary collaborations.
Curated by Sara Reisman. Special thanks to Bryan Ma and Douglas Repetto.
ReactionWear is made possible in part with public funds from the Manhattan Community Arts Fund, supported by the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council and administered by Lower Manhattan Cultural Council.
