RAPTURE, the TRIGGER for exponential occurrences - for study & prayer and discussion
Whilst some people believe that the end of this age is near, there are others, also, who have contrary views. For those with contrary views, usually, the foundation of their argument is that; "there is still a vast majority of the world population yet to hear the Gospel". Yes, that is true! Also, in Matthew 24:14, Jesus Christ said,
"And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come."
Matthew 24: 14.
But the question is: What effect will RAPTURE have on the spread of the Gospel, when it takes place? An analysis of this issue is presented below, as an answer to the question, above.
To recap, in the field of Mathematics, there various types of growths! Growths can occur by proportional increase or exponential increase. For the benefit of the lay persons who may be reading this analysis, it may be necessary to give a simple illustration before proceeding.
Illustration:
1. Proportional increase, e.g.: 2 events x 7 years =14 event. years!
2. Exponential increase, e.g.: 27 [that is, two to the power seven] = 24 x 23 =16 x 8 = 128 event years!
In case one; you may notice that 14 events occurred in 7 years interval, assuming 2 events occur per year.
But in case two, 128 events occurred in the same time frame of 7 years. This, of course, is an astronomical increase as compared to case 1. Now, let us look at the real analysis.
ANALYSIS:
Our Lord and Master, Jesus Christ, prophesied that before His second coming, certain events will occur, namely; disasters like earthquakes, hurricanes, volcanic eruptions, famines etc. Also, he said there will increase in afflictions, wickedness, wars and rumors of wars, tribulation etc.
Currently, only about 30% of the world population is rated as Christians, though true Christians may be much, much less. But one of the most momentous events that will have great IMPACT on the spread of the Gospel is RAPTURE. After Rapture, there will be an EXPONENTIAL increase in number of people who desire to know more about Jesus Christ. Additionally, there will be extremely rapid increase in the occurrences of other events or prophesies, heralding Christ Second coming. All these events will be sudden, and occur in rapid succession, or even contemporaneously, bringing all other prophesies into FULL fulfillment. Jesus Christ, will then manifest in the clouds for every skeptic eye to see.
FURTHER ANALYSIS : Starting with 30% of the world population as having heard the Gospel over a period of, as long as, 2000 years, after RAPTURE, the rest of the 70% could, miraculously, be covered in just 3 -7 years. Yes, with God all things are possible! Hence, any argument based on the assumption that 'majority of people have not yet heard the Gospel, and hence the end is far away, has a very weak foundation. The end of this age is not too far. The way it will come, will undoubtedly shock many people.
This is the reason why our Lord and Master, Jesus Christ, specifically, gave the following warning, in Luke 21:35.
" For AS A SNARE shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. 21:36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
Luke 21:35.
Please, note that the word "SNARE" has an element of surprise in it. This implies, developments, which will culminate into the end, will neither follow human logic, calculations nor expectations.
Of course, some people do not even believe in the doctrine of RAPTURE; citing the fact that RAPTURE is not mentioned, directly, in the Bible. What about the word TRINITY? Is the word 'Trinity', mentioned, directly, in the Bible? Or, is there any argument against Trinity, too? CONCLUSION:
From the above scripture, a man's spiritual alertness and readiness ought to be sharpened. It can be done by the following:
® Daily aggressive prayer.
® Evangelism
