Bea Our Chocolate Lab

With the deepest sadness and regret, we must report that our sixteen
year old Chocolate Lab, Bea (a.k.a., Brandy), was euthanized on
Wednesday evening, April 1, 2009. After waging a courageous battle
with cancer, the disease advanced to her spine, making it impossible
for her to stay on her feet.

While clearly all families adore their pets, to us Bea was truly a
special creature. Throughout her life, she endured so much. Yet she
was incredibly kind, gentle, courageous, and -– even up to the very
end -- possessed a wonderful zest for life. With all of her health
issues -– deafness, poor sight, cronic ear infections, arthritis,
bloat, pneumonia, and cancer -– she simply powered through
them. Bea possessed such a positive spirit. Words cannot adequately
express how much we miss her. She will live in our hearts and minds
forever.
