In this month of new beginnings, and blooming
and blossoming, I wish
you all the best of Love!
INSPIRATIONAL MOMENT:
(Great Thoughts By History's Inspired Thinking Men
and Women)
Time is too slow for those who wait, too swift for those who fear, too long
for those who grieve, too short for those who rejoice, but for those who love,
time is eternity.

TIM's BLOG
(Random Thoughts and Tim's Daily World):
Happy Tuesday to you! I'm wondering if I should feel guilty
about
adding this BLOG part to Love Works.
I was listening to the radio the other day, and a man said...
"We all
have blogs now...like what every Tom, Dick and Harriet
has to say is
important, and we should hang on every word"
I thought to myself...
"Yes, every word is important...even the ones we don't
agree
with."
Maybe if people took as much time READING blogs and they do
formulating
and writing there own....it might just be a
better place for us all.
BLOGS seem to be a perfect forum to "put it down" on paper.
We've lost
the art of letter writing (email excluded) in the U.S. And blogs
give
people a forum to share and get things
off of their collective chests.
(BLOG stands for Web Log,
a new form of internet journalism
and
communication)
If I feel guilty about anything it's that I don't read more...
and
respond more....
The last six years of BLOGGING for me has been very helpful
to ME, if no
one else.
Yeah, opinions are like...ah, well...you know...everyone's
got
one.
What are we afraid of?...We might read a blog and ...ah, well...
you
know....
Change our minds about something!
FOOD FOR THOUGHT:
(Brand New and Classic Love Works Essays
2001-2007)
Every spring, we get a few new baby chicks to add to
our flock of
hens.
This year we got eight. And when I was buying them, I asked
the
clerk how old they were.
She said, "One Day Old! They were hatched yesterday."
ONE DAY OLD!
Wow! I could hardly imagine it....I don't remember being
one day
old....I kinda wish I could....
These chicks, although very tiny, almost seemed liked
adult chickens
right from the start. They ate grain, drank
water from a waterer
and interacted with each other
from DAY ONE (literally)! And all this
without any instruction
from anyone. They have not fear about being
handled by
humans, and seem quite content to sit with eyes wide open
and
take it all in.
Unfortunately, they are very young so they need to stay under
a heat
source, and can't "Get out into the world" for a few weeks
yet. Just
too cold and hard for them in the big world right
now. So, for
today, they stay in a little box, cared for
and watched after.
They sit staring up at the sky wondering...
What? Who? Why?
When? Where?
You can see it in their little eyes. They want out of the
box
already...to get out and see the world.
In contrast...our older hens are frightened easily, very
competitive
with each other to the point of attacking each other from
time
to time, very concerned about a pecking order and fairness....
they
are protective and jealous.....they have had a taste
of the world...and know
that it is NOT FAIR. One day someone
comes and eventually takes you
away. You don't come back.
So you better "get what you can" while you
can. So every
piece of lettuce or apple peel is "MINE! ALL
MINE!"
Our little ONE DAY OLD chicks seem content to wait and
share.
Unafraid. Full of wonder.
Wouldn't it be great to be able to live like we are
ONE DAY OLD
AGAIN? Full of wonder and awe. Everything new
again. No
fear. Only cry out when we are hungry or thirsty ...
and then happy to
get whatever is provided. Happy to share.
Happy to huddle together with
the next one over for warmth...
regardless of their breed, color, or
beliefs.
These little chicks don't care. They are only ONE DAY OLD!
What is
to worry about? What is to fear?
You cannot imagine things you do not know...and they only
know how to be
ONE DAY OLD!
If only we could go back....
or maybe...we can!
At least a little bit each day!
Close your eyes...pretend you are just born...open your
eyes...look
around and be filled with wonder and awe.
No more fear..at least just for that moment.
Everything is OK. You are cared for and loved!
Pop your little head out of your egg and open your eyes
and say,
"Wow! How wondrous! What a miracle!"
Love In Thought! Love In Word! Love In Action!
Love To You Today!
"May we endeavor today to increase our understanding and appreciation of
what others have given and contributed to us. And develop constant,
mindful consideration of how our thoughts and actions will
BENEFICIALLY
CONTRIBUTE to others"
The best to you today in discovering the answers to life's difficult
questions!
A Final Thought:
Love is always the right thing to do. Even if it isn't the easiest
thing to do.
May we have compassion for the struggles of others, wisdom to
acknowledge our own, and courage to address them both every day.
Respectfully,
Tim
