Just got back from seeing Feist

I just got back from seeing Feist at the House of Blues in Boston. I wasn't expecting anything other than a pleasant time. I've enjoyed her music as pleasant background music, but it's never particularly grabbed my attention. She was on fire live though. Her voice is perfect. She's both expressive and precise. She's never off key in the slightest. The band was equally perfect, and the music was much more intense than I would have guessed from casual listening. She was also quite personable and funny at times. For instance, she sang a little seemingly improvised song about Boston & Cambridge and playing at the Middle East and at T.T. The Bears on previous visits.

Unfortunately, she blew the encore. When she came back, the music she played was the kind of pleasant, but also kind of a snoozefest music that I was expecting. So, I highly recommend seeing her live, but skip out before the encore so that it doesn't sully your Fiesty experience.
