This year Artprize is offering a juried prize ... presumably this will be the 'real' art.

Artprize decided to let the academy have their own parallel competition. It will inevitably mean more conceptual (high) art and that will give the public an opportunity to compare and contrast it with the less-conceptual (low) art. Does it raise the stakes for the whole experiment? It's interesting that the juried prize is lower, $100,000 vs $200,000 (I think... couldn't find the amount on their site).
