Prohibition of Keeping a Dog except as a Watchdog or Hunting Dog:

Ibn `Umar (May Allah be pleased with them) said: The Messenger of Allah (صَلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّم) said, "He who keeps a dog other than one for guarding the fields or herds or hunting, will lose two Qirat every day out of his rewards."[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

The road becomes fragrant

Hadhrat Jaabir رضي الله عنه  reports that whenever Rasulullaah Salallahu Alayhi Wasallam  passed by a road, someone searching for him would be able to trail him by the fragrance that lingered in the air after him. This was the natural fragrance his body exuded without him applying perfume.

Our Indebtedness to Nabi Salallahu Alayhi Wasallam

Allah Ta'ala has made it possible for us to profess our love & gratitude for Nabi (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) through sending Durood. We can never repay him. He needs nothing from us. He did so much for us in this world... what won't he do for our salvation in Aakhirah?!

Nabi (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) will delay his own entry into Jannah to make sure no Ummati of his remains in Jahannum. He cried & poured his heart out for this Ummah.

We haven't returned that love, that's why we are suffering & have fallen to the extent we have. It's time to repent, then Allah will bring us back on the path of victory & glory.

Hazrat Ibn Abbas Radi Allahu Anhu narrates that Rasulullah ﷺ said "On the day of judgement the people who will be called towards paradise first will be those that praise (remember) Allah in happiness and sadness.

Remembering  Allah in the places where people don’t usually remember Allah

It is mentioned in Hadith that in a place where people are oblivious to Zikr,remembrance of Allah is like being steadfast in Jihad, when others are running away.[Targhib, p. 193, vol. 3 ref. Bazar and Tibrani]

 • Make Dua to Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala to instil HIS love into our heart.

اللَّهُمَّ اِنِّىْ اَسْئَلُكَ حُبَّكَ وَ حُبَّ مَنْ يُّحِبُّكَ وحُبَّ عَمَلٍ يُّقَرِّبُ اِلى حُبِّكَ

Allahumma inni as-aluka hubbaka, wa hubba may-yuhibbuka, wa hubba ‘amalin yuqarribu ila hubbika.

O Allah! I ask You for Your love and the love of those who love You, and for the love of every action which will bring me closer to Your love.
