Justification for weeping on the departure of virtuous people

Anas bin Malik (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: After the death of Messenger of Allah(sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam), Abu Bakr said to Umar (May Allah be pleased with them): "Let us visit Umm Aiman (May Allah be pleased with him) as Messenger of Allah (sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam) used to visit her.​"​

As we came to her, she wept. They Abu Bakr and Umar (May Allah be pleased with them) said to her, "What makes you weep? Do you not know that what Allah has in store for His Messenger (sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam) is better than (this worldly life)?​"​ 

She said, "I weep not because I am ignorant of the fact that what is in store for Messenger of Allah (sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam) (in the Hereafter) is better than this world, but I weep because the Revelation has ceased to come.​"​

 This reply moved both of them to tears and they began to weep along with her.​ [Muslim]

Commentary:  Here, this Hadith has been reproduced to furnish justification for weeping on the departure of virtuous people because their presence is a source of many blessings. With their departure from this world, people are deprived of many graces. Pious people are certainly very much grieved on their death.

Excellence of Greeting at the time of entry into the House

Anas bin Malik (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah (sal-Allahu 'alayhi wa sallam ) said to me, "Dear son, when you enter your house, say As-Salamu `Alaikum to your family, for it will be a blessing both to you and to your family."[At-Tirmidhi].
Commentary:
Many people, on returning home, feel belittled in saying As-Salamu `Alaikum to their household. In fact, As-Salam is a prayer for goodness, blessing and peace, and one should have no complex about it.

100 Watt Smile !

For a bland meal from a painted air hostess, you give a hundred watt smile,
You strike a pose, and thank her, giving her your best "I am a good guy" style!

All for absolutely nothing, for to being nice to you, isn't from her heart, she is being paid!
You are just another passenger, even if from economy class you got an upgrade!

And then when you come home you decide to do some loadshedding,
Gone is the 100watt smile, despite the love filled meal and freshly prepared bedding!

You scowl and grunt your way through the evening, displaying your "Bad Boy" attitude,
And every gesture of kindness towards you is responded in a manner that is rude!

Oh foolish man!
You did it to your mother, and now your wife,
Cutting up their hearts with your ungrateful knife!

The daughters of this Ummah, if you do not appreciate,
You will lose them, and your regret will be too late!

“Do not speak ill of one another behind their back. O Allah’s worshipers! Live as brothers.”

O OUR CHERISHER, cleanse our hearts from all sins as a white cloth is cleansed from dirt. Distance us from our sins as YOU have distanced the East from the West

O OUR MOST FORGIVING ALLAH, we seek refuge in YOU from knowingly or unknowingly associating anything unto YOU, and ask YOUR forgiveness for what we do not know

O OUR MOST MERCIFUL ALLAH, grant us forgiveness and show Mercy on us. Grant us well being and grant us an abundance of Halaal provision

O ALLAH, we beseech YOU we ask YOU for forgiveness, Mercy, blessings, peace, pure faith, piety and exalt our positions, keep us steadfast on Siraatul Mustaqeem and accept this du'aa of ours
