Good day!

Please help me.

I want to setup lovdbyless and translate it to russian languages.
What is the easiest way to do this?

Thank you!

You should submit a localization feature request at the lighthouse:

http://tinyurl.com/lovdlighthouse.

Right now it would be pretty tough because localization isn't built into the app.  You'll have to go through each string (and anything that generates strings) and translate.

I'm no localization pro, but I imagine real localization would be a pretty big feat considering Ruby's lack of unicode support in 1.8.  I've seen some gems and plugins that could help, but have no experience with them.

Nevermind... looks like the localization support issue has already
been ruled on, so I guess you're on your own. See this thread:

We need to be able to translate lovdbyless into multiple languages and
are considering a fork of the project to do so. Would that be
interesting to anyone?

The first translation for us will probably be Arabic as we are working
with a group in the middle east. I am examining the various plugin
options - globalize, globalite, gibberish. Does anyone have an
opinion on which one is best? Would anyone be available to help with
the translation if we can put in the infrastructure to support it?

Thanks,
Justin

Since you asked, I've said in another thread that my first choice
would be globalize. I've used it before and it's quite feature
complete and not too hard to use. Just my 2 cents. :)

Hey guys,

I also used Globalize and liked it very much. You can even use Click
to Globalize to translate the application on the fly.

Cheers, Sazima
