I'd like to use Lovd for the social networking side of my site
(actually my husband's site), and WordPress for the blog. I'm not sure
if what I want to do is possible, so I'm looking for some insight on
the following:

1) Having a universal login
2) Using one header for both

Is there anyone out there with experience doing this? Or can someone
point me to a link?

TIA!

Its possible to have Lovd and Wordpress share the same look and feel, but I don't think you can easily have a single login process that works for both.

"Easily" is the key word. It's most definitely possible by referring
the login process to a common authentication component and
implementing session checks in both of the platforms, but you won't
find any out of the box support in them. You'll definitely have to
roll your own.
