Space Marines: 1/2 Battle Company Fluffy Army

Alex wanted to play a scaled up version of the pure-fluff 1/2 battle company I fielded vs Richard. Here's the list at 2000 points:

HQ

  • Captain — 3rd Company, 0/3 Field Command "Captain Aurelius, Master of Tactics" — artificer armor, relic blade, combi-melta, melta bombs (150)
    • Command Squad — company standard, apothecary, meltaguns x2, lightning claws x4, storm shield x4, melta bombs; Drop Pod (290)
  • Chaplain — 3rd Company, 0/3a Reclusiam “Brother Chrysippus” — bolt pistol, jump pack, melta bombs (110)

Troops

  • Tactical Squad — 3rd Company, 1/3 1st Tactical "Agrippa" — 10 men, flamer, missile launcher, veteran sergeant, chainsword; Rhino (205)
  • Tactical Squad — 3rd Company, 4/3 6th Tactical "Anaximander" — 10 men, meltagun, lascannon, veteran sergeant, "melta bombs; Rhino (220)
  • Tactical Squad — 3rd Company, 8/3 19th Tactical "Thales" — 10 men, gravgun, lascannon, veteran sergeant, grav pistol; Rhino (235)

Elites

    • Typically for the same points I'd run one with two twin-linked autocannons, but I feel the ability to punch a Riptide in the face might be more advantageous, feel free to comment.

  • Assault Squad — 3rd Company, 5/3 7th Assault "Cornelius" — 10 men, flamer, plasma pistol, veteran sergeant, combat shield, grav pistol, power fist, melta bombs (250)

Heavy Support

I will post up my list after the secret game, you have that list, so it would be that with a few tweaks since I had a few points to move around.

      Looks like a really nice list. I'm excited to see somebody using Jump Marines as it seems like they will move around the board fast and make for an interesting dynamic. Plus hammer of wrath and rerolling assault ranges is always nice. Just out of curiosity, why a rhino with the devastators and not the group of tacticals without one? I think of devastators as static in cover, but was wondering your thoughts.

      Really it could go either way, but I the Devs would use it as a mobile wall:

      Movement phase: rhino moves out of the way
      Shooting phase: devs fire, rhino moves back in the way.
