Is there nothing you could do with the extra 25 points you have?

Good catch and thanks for asking! I completely forgot to solicit advise about that.

I could:
  • add a Holofield (+1 cover save after move, basically enhances Jink) to one of the Wave Serpents, probably the one with the Fire Dragons in it. (15 points)
  • add vectored engines (allows for a vehicle to rotate after shooting) to one of the Wave Serpents (15 points)
  • add another Fire Dragon to the unit (22 points)
  • add up to two of the following to the Dire Avenger Exarchs — the option that I favor
    • disarming strike: in a challenge, before to-hit rolls are made in a round, both combatants roll a D6, the exarch gets +1 to this roll if his WS is higher, if the exarch rolls higher the enemy's weapons are considered to be plain ol' combat weapons until the end of the phase. (10 points)
    • shield of grace: at initiative step 10, you can choose to forgo all but one of your attacks to gain a 3+ invulnerable save. (10 points)
    • battle fortune: 4+ invulnerable save (15 points)

I think going with Battle Fortune and Disarming Strike are the best. The Shield of Grace is cool, but if you already have a 4++, don't waste the points (and attacks) on a 3++.

The Holofield would be extremely helpful, but sadly you don't have the spare points to get that AND Battle Fortune for a Dire Avenger Exarch :(

Hey Michael what does fast shot do for the fire dragon exarch? This looks pretty good, however Wraithguard used to be 18" range on the gun, is that still the same? Also I know that you can't control the other player, but do you plan on letting the avengers into melee?

Fast Shot allows the Fire Dragon Exarch to fire his weapon twice. I think that's great!

The wraithcannon is only 12" now. But with the spiritseer's Iyanden psychic power they now have battle-focus (move, shoot, move or move, move shoot) so they're a lot more mobile than they used to be.

That's awesome, what's the spiritseers cost, psychic affect range, and LD? What slot are they for Iyanden?

For Iyanden they are the standard 70 points, but you can cram up to 5 of them in one HQ FOC slot. LD 9 (a little low, but not bad for psyker level 2)

The "Voice of Twilight" is the primaris power for the spiritseers. 2 Warp Charges. All wraithguard, wraithblades, wraithlords, and wraithknights within 12" have the Battle Focus and Furious Charge USRs.
