Sun Microsystems Computer Corporation (SMCC) announces SunSelect's NetWare
SunLink product to provide full NetWare services on SMCC systems. NetWare
SunLink provides NetWare file and print connectivity while retaining the
much more robust application environment of Solaris and enabling server
functions such as RDBMS back-ends.

Oracle and Ingres, for example, have announced that they will develop
NetWare-based interfaces for Suns using NetWare SunLink. This means
customers will get the benefit of retaining their existing desktop and
network investment while having access to the aggressive database
server price performance offered by SMCC servers.
