Archeologists fail to find evidence of Fort JEMSEG

Hello:
My daughter and I went on a road trip today and found the Fort Jemseg monument.
So I am online now searching any and all references to the Fort to try to find out if any positive results had revealed the REAL location. My sister seems to think it could be under water. After reading how it was badly flooded then abandoned this theory of hers makes sense, however I remain hopeful.
It makes mention that pottery originating in France would indicate its true location. My personal take on it would be if you found an existing well you would be on the right track as well.
Thx for the interesting read. I would like to find out what, if any new work is being done.
